Heart of Acting

We’ve all had moments onstage when we got out of our own way and did something wonderful—when we were alive, free, fully connected and engaged, and in the moment. Yet often instead, we feel stuck, divided, unable to access our talent or to release what we know is inside us.

Acting is an extraordinary balancing act: We have to be both disciplined and spontaneous as we work; to be vulnerable in portraying a character yet confident in revealing that vulnerability to an audience. We pursue our longing to be onstage while struggling with fear and anxiety about auditioning and performing.

Based in New York City and led by actor Parlan McGaw, Heart of Acting is a practical and powerful program that will help you free up your creative energy, release your gifts, and transform stage fright into confidence.
